## Investors File Lawsuit Against Gomez
Selena Gomez is facing legal action from investors who claim she committed fraud related to her mental health startup, Wondermind. The lawsuit, filed in Delaware, alleges Gomez and her co-founders misled investors about the company's valuation and failed to deliver on key promises.
## Allegations of Mismanagement
The investors, who contributed approximately $1.2 million to the venture, allege that Gomez did not fulfill her role in promoting and developing the company. They claim she was supposed to leverage her massive social media following to boost Wondermind's profile but failed to do so.
## Promised Features Never Delivered
According to the lawsuit, investors were led to believe that Wondermind had a $95 million valuation and would partner with major companies like JPMorgan. However, these partnerships and a promised mobile app never materialized. The investors also allege that the company struggled to meet basic financial obligations.
## Internal Issues Revealed
The lawsuit mentions that investors were unaware of the company's internal issues until a report in 2025 exposed disputes and operational challenges. It also highlights Gomez's personal struggles, which allegedly impacted her involvement in the company.
## Co-Founders Also Named in Suit
Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, and former business partner Daniella Pierson are also named in the lawsuit. The investors claim Pierson misused funds, a charge she denies, stating she is ready to provide evidence to refute the allegations. Neither Gomez nor Teefey has commented on the lawsuit.
