## Global Expansion for Jaywan Cards

Jaywan cardholders in the UAE can now use their cards in over 183 countries, thanks to a new partnership with UnionPay International. This agreement allows the UAE's domestic payment card to be accepted at more than 100 million points of sale and 1.8 million ATMs worldwide.

## Key Agreement Details

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Al Etihad Payments and UnionPay International in Shanghai. This collaboration aims to enhance the global presence of Jaywan cards, facilitating cross-border payments and boosting trade and tourism.

## Strengthening Economic Ties

Saif Humaid Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Al Etihad Payments, emphasized the importance of this deal in supporting Jaywan's international growth and improving payment efficiency. Dong Junfeng, Chairman of UnionPay, highlighted the growing demand for seamless payment services between China and the UAE, which this partnership aims to address.

## Future Developments

A separate agreement will cover settlement arrangements, including liquidity and foreign exchange services, further supporting Jaywan's international expansion. This partnership builds on existing collaborations between Al Etihad Payments and UnionPay, which already include co-badged card issuance in the UAE.
