## Storm Impact on Tokyo

Tropical Storm Chan-hom struck the Tokyo area, causing power outages for thousands and minor injuries to five individuals. The storm, which made landfall in southern Ibaraki prefecture, weakened as it moved westward.

## Current Storm Path

By Wednesday morning, Chan-hom was near Gifu in central Japan, heading towards Wakasa Bay. The storm maintained winds of 64 kilometers per hour, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.

## Transportation and Power Disruptions

Despite the storm, Tokyo's commuter trains and flights largely operated as usual. However, over 3,000 homes in Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures remained without electricity. The storm also led to the cancellation of around 60 flights at Haneda airport.

## Previous Storms and Warnings

Chan-hom followed Typhoon Dolphin, which recently affected southern Japan and caused significant damage in the Philippines and China. Residents in northern and western Japan have been advised to prepare for heavy rain and thunderstorms.
