ADNOC Gas explores new UAE east coast LNG plant with Habshan recovery at 85%

## Potential LNG Facility

ADNOC Gas is evaluating the possibility of establishing a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates. This move aims to enhance export flexibility, particularly in light of recent disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime route.

## Current Status

The company's Chief Financial Officer, Peter van Driel, mentioned that the project is still in the exploratory phase, with no final decisions made regarding capacity, investment, or location. The consideration for this facility comes as ADNOC Gas seeks to mitigate the impact of maritime disruptions on its operations.

## Financial Outlook

ADNOC Gas has adjusted its financial outlook to account for ongoing maritime challenges. The company anticipates a net income of $600 million to $800 million for the third quarter, with full-year projections ranging from $3.5 billion to $4 billion, assuming maritime conditions improve by the end of 2026.

## Habshan Complex Recovery

In a separate development, ADNOC Gas reported significant progress at its Habshan complex, which has recovered 85% of its operations following security incidents earlier this year. This recovery surpasses the company's initial year-end target, marking a notable achievement amid operational challenges.
