During his tenure with the West Indies, the men's, women's, and U19 teams all achieved World Cup victories in 2016. Pybus also held the position of high-performance director in 2018 and was interim head coach in 2019.

In addition to his roles with Pakistan and the West Indies, Pybus had a brief stint as head coach of Bangladesh in 2012. He is known for his ability to develop individual talent, having worked with notable players like Mohammad Rizwan, Faf du Plessis, and Dale Steyn, contributing significantly to their growth in international cricket.
