Egypt calls for full Israeli withdrawal, sustained aid access to Gaza

## Egypt's Call for Action

Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, has urged for a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid. This call was made during a discussion with Nikolay Mladenov, Director-General of the US President's Board of Peace.

## Implementation of the Gaza Roadmap

Abdelatty emphasized the importance of implementing the Gaza roadmap, which includes the deployment of an International Stabilisation Force to oversee security during the transition. He highlighted the need for the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza to begin its duties and for the Palestinian Authority to assume responsibilities in Gaza and the West Bank.

## Israel's Position

Despite the proposed peace plan, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the 15-point document, stating that Israel will not withdraw its forces until Hamas is disarmed. Netanyahu remains firm on Israel's security concerns and continues discussions with the US.

## The Peace Plan

The peace plan aims to end the Gaza conflict through phased Israeli withdrawal, disarmament of armed factions, and transitioning governance to a Palestinian technocratic body. However, Israel insists on the complete demilitarization of Hamas before any troop withdrawal.
