## Flag Hoisting Ceremonies

Indian expats in the UAE are preparing for India's 80th Independence Day with a range of events organized by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai. Celebrations will begin on August 15, with flag hoisting ceremonies scheduled for 7am at both locations. Indian Ambassador Dr. Deepak Mittal and Consul General Dr. E. ## Global Relay and Cultural Initiatives

A new initiative, Surya Path Tiranga, will feature a global relay of flag hoisting across Indian missions worldwide, symbolizing the path of the rising sun. Additionally, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign encourages Indians to display the national flag at their homes and share photos online.

## Cultural Programs and Competitions

This year's celebrations also mark 150 years of "Vande Mataram," with planned group singing events. The Bharat Ko Janiye quiz will test participants' knowledge of India, with prizes for top performers. The #MyIndiaMyStory campaign invites expats to share personal experiences through short reels, with selected entries showcased on social media.
