## New Education Framework
The UAE Ministry of Education has unveiled a new teaching framework for the 2026-2027 academic year, aiming to modernize the education system. This plan will be implemented across public and private schools following the national curriculum, covering all levels from kindergarten to Grade 12.
## Standardized Timetables
The new framework introduces standardized weekly lesson allocations. Kindergarten students will have 24 lessons per week, while Grades 1 to 4 will receive 32 lessons. Students in Grades 5 to 12 will have 36 lessons weekly, regardless of whether they are in the general or advanced streams.
## AI and Technology Integration
A significant change is the introduction of "Artificial Intelligence and Technology" as a subject, replacing the previous computing and design courses. This subject will be taught across all educational stages, reflecting the UAE's focus on future skills.
## Early and Secondary Education
In early education, subjects like social studies and the arts will be integrated into a unified framework. For secondary education, the plan provides detailed guidance on compulsory and elective subjects, ensuring students have a comprehensive learning experience.
## Inclusive Education
The ministry emphasizes inclusive education, continuing individual education plans for students with special needs. This includes curriculum adaptations and tailored teaching methods.
## Continuing Education and Home Learning
The plan expands continuing education programs, offering literacy pathways for Grades 1 to 6 and academic tracks for Emirati women from Grades 7 to 12. A home-learning pathway will also be available, allowing students to take exams electronically without attending regular classes.
