Abu Dhabi Aviation revenue jumps 28% to Dh4.66b, plans Dh674m asset sale

## Revenue Growth and Asset Sale

Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) has announced a significant 28% increase in revenue for the first half of 2026, reaching Dh4.66 billion. This growth is largely attributed to the company's maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. To further focus on its core aviation and MRO services, ADA plans to sell Dh674 million worth of non-core real estate and financial assets.

## Strategic Focus on MRO

The MRO segment was a major contributor to the revenue surge, growing by 30.6% to Dh4.18 billion and making up nearly 90% of the total revenue. The demand for defense MRO and fleet-support services remained robust, compensating for slower activity in other areas.

## Financial Position and Future Plans

As of June 30, ADA held Dh2.05 billion in cash and cash equivalents, with total borrowings at Dh1.15 billion, resulting in a net cash position of Dh900 million. The company aims to use the proceeds from asset sales to enhance its aviation and MRO capabilities, expand internationally, and improve operational efficiency.

## Expansion and Innovation

ADA is also focusing on regional expansion, particularly in Africa's oil and gas aviation markets. The company is investing in fleet modernization and exploring advanced air mobility through a partnership with Archer Aviation, with plans to introduce electric air taxi operations in Abu Dhabi.
