Meanwhile, Thaha Ibrahim, a Muslim, continues the embroidery work of the late Sarah Cohen, a Jewish matriarch, and keeps her shop open.

Josephai has received support from Muslims, Christians, and Hindus in restoring the Kadavumbagam Synagogue.
