Job promise to abuse: Bhopal sisters held for rape, forced conversion, sex racket

## Arrest and Allegations

Two sisters, Amreen and Afreen, along with their associate Chandan Yadav, have been arrested in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on charges of rape, forced religious conversion, and involvement in a sex trafficking network. The arrests followed complaints from two women who reported being lured with job offers and then exploited.

## Victims' Accounts

The victims, aged 21 and 32, approached the police with similar stories of being promised domestic work and a high-profile lifestyle. Instead, they were allegedly coerced into social gatherings where they were drugged and sexually assaulted. One victim, a beautician from Chhattisgarh, claimed she was taken to Ahmedabad and raped by Yasir, a relative of Amreen. The other victim, a maid, alleged she was raped by Chandan Yadav and threatened with death if she spoke out.

## Forced Conversion Claims

One of the most serious allegations involves forced religious conversion. Chandan Yadav reportedly pressured a victim to convert to Islam, promising marriage into a good family. The victim claims she was forced to wear a burqa and participate in religious practices.

## Investigation and Evidence

Police have seized mobile phones from the accused, uncovering suspicious WhatsApp groups with photos of young women, suggesting a broader network. Investigators are examining financial records and digital communications to determine if the operation extends beyond state lines. Additional DCP Gautam Solanki confirmed that a rape case has been registered and further investigations are ongoing.
