Burjeel H1 profit rises 97.4% after patient visits reach 3.7m

## Significant Profit Growth

Burjeel Holdings reported a remarkable 97.4% increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, driven by a surge in patient visits. The healthcare provider treated over 3.7 million patients, marking a 9.9% rise in visits compared to the previous year.

## Financial Performance

The company's revenue grew by 4.4% year-on-year, reaching Dh2.79 billion. Excluding one-off items, net profit stood at Dh227 million. Operating cash flow saw a significant boost of 76.8%, amounting to Dh405 million, while free cash flow increased by 36.4% to Dh354 million.

## Hospital and Medical Centers

The hospital segment generated Dh2.5 billion in revenue, accounting for 89% of the group's total revenue. Hospital EBITDA rose by 21.1%, with margins improving to 22.5%. Burjeel Medical City achieved a 58.3% increase in second-quarter EBITDA, with a record margin of 26.3%.

The Medical Centers segment also performed well, with an 8.4% rise in revenue to Dh248 million. Outpatient visits increased by 28.9%, contributing to a 56.2% rise in EBITDA for the segment.

## Strategic Developments

Burjeel Holdings completed a $500 million sukuk issuance, which was 3.2 times oversubscribed. The proceeds were used to repay bank facilities and reduce the group's revolving credit facility. The company's net leverage remained stable at 1.8 times by the end of June.
