## New Station Opening Dubai's upcoming Etihad Rail passenger station, located near Jumeirah Golf Estates, will be named 'Al Yalayis Station'. The station is set to open on September 30, alongside Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah, as part of the UAE's expanding national rail network.
## Strategic Location Positioned along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, the station offers direct access for commuters across Dubai. A key feature will be its connection to the Dubai Metro's Jumeirah Golf Estates Station on the Red Line, facilitated by a dedicated footbridge currently under construction.
## Enhanced Connectivity The station aims to improve transport links for nearby communities such as Green Community, Al Furjan, and Dubai Investment Park. It will also provide access to Al Maktoum International Airport, located about 30 minutes away by road.
## Growing Rail Demand The opening coincides with increasing demand for Etihad Rail services, with over 70,000 tickets sold for the Abu Dhabi-Fujairah route since its launch. This reflects a growing interest in rail travel within the UAE.
## Network Expansion Al Yalayis Station is part of a broader 900km rail network plan, connecting 11 cities across the UAE. Following the September openings, additional stations in Liwa, Madinat Zayed, and Al Dhafra are scheduled to open later in 2026, with further expansions planned into 2027.
