## Event Overview

The Shandong Automotive & Auto Parts Industry Promotion Matchmaking Conference took place at the Sharjah Expo Centre in the UAE on August 4, 2026. Organized by the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, the event aimed to expand Shandong's automotive export market. It coincided with the 5th UAE-China Tyre & Auto Parts Exhibition, METAS 2026.

## Participants and Products

A delegation of 51 manufacturers from Shandong showcased a wide range of products, including passenger and commercial vehicle parts, tyres, and new energy vehicle systems. These products are specifically designed to meet the Middle Eastern market's demands, such as high temperatures and sandy conditions.

## Buyer Engagement

The event attracted over 120 professional buyers from more than 100 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Buyers were sourced through various channels, including METAS EXPO's database and local consulates. Big data technology was used to pre-match manufacturers with buyers, facilitating efficient one-on-one meetings.

## Outcomes

The conference featured over 90 business matching sessions, resulting in tentative cooperation orders worth over $6.8 million. Both suppliers and buyers found the event beneficial, with plans for expanded procurement and long-term partnerships.

## Future Plans

This event marked the start of Shandong's 2026 export cluster program, with additional matchmaking events planned for later in the year. The initiative aims to reduce market development costs and increase Shandong's global export footprint.
