UAE steps up integration of national economic register with licensing authorities

## Strengthening Digital Infrastructure

The UAE's Ministry of Economy and Tourism is advancing the integration of the National Economic Register (NER), also known as "Growth," with licensing authorities nationwide. This initiative aims to bolster the country's digital economic framework.

## Collaborative Efforts

A recent technical workshop brought together 90 representatives from 33 federal and local government entities, licensing authorities, and free zones. The focus was on improving electronic connectivity and data exchange among these bodies.

## Unified Economic Data

The NER serves as a federal digital database managed by the ministry. It provides a comprehensive repository of economic establishments across the UAE, classifying over 4,000 economic activities. This platform supports government entities, businesses, and investors by offering reliable data for informed decision-making.

## Streamlining Processes

The workshop also addressed the technical requirements for integrating various licensing data, such as economic licenses and corporate financial information, into the NER. This integration aims to enhance data quality, minimize manual processes, and streamline government services.
