## UAE's Significant Role in Boeing Orders
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a major player in Boeing's Middle East order backlog, accounting for 57% of the region's orders. This highlights the UAE's importance as a key market for the American aircraft manufacturer.
## Expanding Fleets of UAE Airlines
UAE airlines have placed orders for over 530 aircraft out of a total of 938 Boeing orders in the Middle East. Emirates, a leading airline, is the largest customer for Boeing's 777X program, with 270 aircraft ordered. Etihad Airways has 81 Boeing 787 Dreamliners on order, with 23 yet to be delivered, and 15 Boeing 777X aircraft pending delivery. Flydubai, a low-cost carrier, has 115 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft on order, making it the largest regional customer for the 737 family.
## Current Operations and Historical Orders
Currently, UAE airlines operate more than 300 Boeing aircraft. Since Boeing's entry into the UAE market, the cumulative orders from the country have reached 1,288 aircraft. This substantial order book underscores the UAE's growing status as a global aviation hub, supported by its expanding national carriers and investments in aviation infrastructure.
