Kuwait has introduced a KD150 fee for converting visit visas into residency permits. This change is part of the updated executive regulations under the Foreigners Residence Law. The new regulation was published in the official gazette, Kuwait Alyoum, and is effective immediately.

## Exemptions and Implementation

The fee applies to those shifting from a visit visa to a residency permit, as outlined in Article 16 of the regulations. However, domestic workers and similar categories are exempt from this fee, as per Article 20. The Ministry of Interior has instructed relevant authorities to enforce these amendments.
