Indian expat in UAE dies hours before Ramadan reunion flight home

## Tragic Loss Before Reunion

An Indian expatriate in the UAE, Favaz Chambantagath House, tragically passed away just hours before he was scheduled to fly home to Kerala for Ramadan. The 39-year-old accountant, who had secured a new job, was preparing to reunite with his family when he suddenly collapsed after iftar on Sunday.

## Sudden Health Crisis

Favaz experienced discomfort and excessive sweating while packing for his 3am flight on Monday. Despite immediate CPR efforts by friends and the arrival of an ambulance, he succumbed to a cardiac arrest. Favaz had no known health issues and was known for his active lifestyle.

## Between Two Worlds

At the time of his death, Favaz was on a visit visa, transitioning between jobs. He had previously worked for a supermarket chain in Dubai and had recently found a new position. With his mother unwell, he planned to spend Ramadan and Eid with his family before starting his new role.

## A Heartbreaking Parallel

The timing of Favaz's death has drawn poignant comparisons to the Malayalam film "Pathemari," co-produced by his relative Hashik Thayikandy. The film depicts a similar story of a Kerala expat in the Gulf who dies just before returning home. Favaz's body was repatriated early Tuesday, leaving his community in deep mourning.
