## Tragic Loss for Oman

Nadhira Al Harthy, the first Omani woman to summit Mount Everest, has died in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan. The incident, which also claimed the life of Nepali climber Pur Bahadur Gurung, occurred on Thursday. Broad Peak is the world's 12th-highest mountain, standing at 8,047 meters.
