Borouge keeps 16.2 fils dividend plan after profit rises 23%

## Profit and Revenue Growth

Borouge, a leading petrochemicals company based in Abu Dhabi, reported a 23% increase in net profit for the second quarter of 2026, reaching $191 million. The company's revenue also rose to $1.4 billion from $1.2 billion in the previous quarter.

## Dividend and Pricing Strategy

Despite the rise in profits, Borouge has decided to maintain its annual dividend plan of 16.2 fils per share. The company benefited from a 53% increase in average realized prices, driven by a global shortage of polyolefins and high demand for its specialized products.

## Operational Challenges and Solutions

Borouge faced higher logistics and feedstock costs, which impacted profit margins. However, the company managed to restore full asset availability by the end of June after repairing damage at its Ruwais complex. This allowed Borouge to ship all produced volumes and additional inventory using alternative logistics routes.

## Future Outlook

The company expects to increase its production utilization rate in the second half of the year, contingent on feedstock and logistics availability. Borouge is also progressing with its Borouge 4 expansion, which aims to significantly boost production capacity by 2027.
