## Box Office Performance

Vijay's latest film, 'Jana Nayagan,' has achieved a global box office collection of Rs 2.6 billion. Despite a strong start, the film's earnings have slowed in its second week, facing stiff competition from other releases like 'The Odyssey' and 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day.' On its eighth day, the film earned Rs 3.98 crore from 5,496 shows, bringing its domestic net to Rs 153.48 crore and its India gross to Rs 179.25 crore.

## Certification Impact

Producer KVN Venkat Narayanan expressed concerns that the film's 'A' certificate limited its audience reach. Initially, the team anticipated a UA 16+ rating, which would have allowed younger audiences to watch the film. Narayanan believes that the film's themes and sequences, such as those involving drones and robots, would have appealed to children and younger viewers.

## Language Contributions

The Tamil version of 'Jana Nayagan' remains the most successful, contributing Rs 3.27 crore net on Day 8 with 22% occupancy. The Hindi version followed with Rs 0.48 crore net and 10% occupancy, while the Telugu version added Rs 0.23 crore net with 15% occupancy.
