## Strong Trading Activity Boosts Profits
The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced a net profit of Dh443.2 million for the first half of 2026, driven by increased trading volumes and investor participation. The average daily traded value rose by 45.1% year-on-year to Dh1.004 billion, while the total traded value reached Dh119.5 billion, marking a 40.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
## Market Capitalisation and Index Performance
Despite the surge in trading, DFM's market capitalisation slightly decreased by 1.4% to Dh981.6 billion by the end of June 2026. The DFM General Index closed at 5,955.58 points.
## Revenue and Profit Analysis
DFM's consolidated revenue for the first half of 2026 was Dh557 million, down from Dh888.9 million in the previous year. This decline was attributed to a one-time income from the sale of an investment property in 2025. Operational revenue contributed Dh384.8 million, while investment returns and other income added Dh172.2 million. Net profit before tax was Dh443.2 million, compared to Dh777.1 million in H1 2025.
## Investor Participation
The market welcomed 42,864 new investors during this period, with foreign investors making up 71.4% of new registrations. Institutional investors accounted for 71.2% of the total traded value, and foreign investors contributed 51% of overall trading activity. Foreign ownership represented 20.06% of market capitalisation, while institutional ownership was 86.5%.
