Dubai Police AI traffic fines: Eight offences detected by radars

## Advanced AI Radars in Dubai

Dubai Police have deployed cutting-edge AI radar systems to enhance traffic monitoring across the city. These radars are designed to detect a range of violations beyond just speeding, aiming to improve road safety and enforce traffic laws more effectively.

## Eight Key Offences Detected

The AI radars can identify eight specific traffic violations. These include exceeding speed limits, running red lights, and failing to maintain lane discipline. The system also targets distracted driving, such as using a mobile phone while driving, and not wearing a seat belt.

## Penalties for Violations

Motorists caught by these radars face significant penalties. For instance, speeding over 80 km/h above the limit can result in a Dh3,000 fine, 23 black points, and a 60-day vehicle impoundment. Running a red light incurs a Dh1,000 fine, 12 black points, and a 30-day impoundment, with an additional Dh50,000 fee to release the vehicle.

## Additional Violations

Other offences include illegal window tinting, noisy vehicles, and driving with expired registration. Each violation carries its own set of fines and penalties, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.

## Promoting Road Safety

Authorities urge drivers to stay informed about these rules to avoid penalties and contribute to safer roads. The implementation of AI technology in traffic monitoring reflects Dubai's commitment to leveraging innovation for public safety.
