## Series Overview
The United Arab Emirates will host a white-ball cricket series between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in March. The series will include three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), scheduled from March 13 to 25.
## Match Venues
The T20 matches are set to take place in Sharjah on March 13, 15, and 17. The ODIs will be held in Dubai on March 20, 22, and 25.
## Historic Significance
This series marks the first time Sri Lanka will participate in a bilateral series hosted by Afghanistan. The last encounter between the two teams was in early 2024 in Sri Lanka, where the hosts won all three ODIs and took the T20 series 2-1.

Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket, emphasized the importance of bilateral cricket and expressed happiness about participating in this historic tour.
## Team Updates
Afghanistan is currently without a head coach following Jonathan Trott's departure after the T20 World Cup. The team was eliminated in the group stage of the tournament, which took place in India and Sri Lanka.
