## Devastation and Determination

Residents like Mahasen Faqih and her husband have come back to find their homes in ruins. Despite the destruction, they are determined to stay, living temporarily in their grocery store. Nearly half of the village's 500 homes are destroyed, and many others are uninhabitable.

## Limited Returns

Only about 15 families have returned so far, according to the village mayor, Abed Ezzeldine. The Lebanese army is working to clear debris and provide essential services like water. The mayor hopes more families will return soon, but the presence of Israeli troops nearby remains a concern.

## Ongoing Tensions

The deal has faced opposition from Hezbollah, and the situation remains tense. Israeli forces still control significant areas in southern Lebanon, and the village continues to experience military activity. Further talks between Lebanon and Israel are planned to discuss additional pilot zones.
