## Historic Ascent

Fatima Abdulrahman Al Awadhi, a 19-year-old mountaineer from the UAE, has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the youngest Arab to climb above 7,000 meters. She also made history as the first Emirati to reach the summit of Lenin Peak in Kyrgyzstan, which stands at 7,134 meters.

## Challenging Expedition

The climb, completed on July 18, 2026, was Fatima's highest ascent to date. Lenin Peak is known for its challenging conditions, including extreme weather and heavily glaciated terrain. The expedition took about three weeks, involving acclimatization and a final summit push, all without supplementary oxygen.

## Mountaineering Achievements

Fatima's mountaineering achievements are impressive. She is the youngest Emirati to summit Mount Elbrus and the youngest Arab to conquer Vinson Massif and Carstensz Pyramid. She has also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak.

On reaching the summit, Fatima raised the UAE flag and shared a message from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing ambition and perseverance.
