Ramadan 2026: 40 multilingual smart screens rolled out at Two Holy Mosques

## New Technological Initiative

Saudi Arabia has launched an initiative to enhance religious services during Ramadan by installing over 40 multilingual smart screens at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. These screens aim to provide accurate religious guidance to the large number of Umrah pilgrims visiting during the holy month.

## Multilingual Support

The interactive screens offer religious content in more than 50 languages, ensuring that worshippers from diverse backgrounds can access reliable information. This initiative is part of a broader digital strategy to improve the experience for visitors and correct any misconceptions about religious practices.

## Strategic Placement

The screens are strategically placed in key areas such as the Mataf expansion and the King Fahd Expansion, among others. This placement ensures that pilgrims can easily access the information they need to perform their rituals with clarity.

## Leadership and Vision

The project is overseen by Sheikh Abdulrahman Al Sudais, head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, and aligns with the vision of promoting a balanced understanding of religious teachings. Sheikh Ali Al Nafie, Deputy Head of the Intellectual and Awareness Affairs Agency, emphasized the role of these screens in fostering moderation and understanding among worshippers.
