## Aryansh Sharma's Stellar Performance
Aryansh Sharma delivered an impressive performance, scoring an unbeaten century to guide the UAE to a seven-wicket win against Jersey. This match was the first of two 50-over games held at Grainville, serving as preparation for the upcoming Cricket World Cup League Two tri-series.
## Jersey Sets a High Target
Jersey set a challenging target by scoring 315 for five in their allotted 50 overs. Nick Greenwood was the standout performer for Jersey, achieving a century off 92 balls. UAE bowlers, including Junaid Siddique and Dhruv Parashar, each took a wicket to restrict Jersey's score.
## UAE's Successful Chase
In response, Aryansh Sharma anchored the UAE's innings, remaining not out on 131. He was instrumental in two significant partnerships, first with Mohammed Shahdad, who scored 71, and then with former captain Rahul Chopra, who added 50 runs. The UAE successfully chased down the target in 48 overs.
## Looking Ahead
The UAE team, featuring a revamped squad, is focused on retaining their ODI status and qualifying for the 2027 World Cup. They will face Scotland and Canada next in the League Two series, which is part of the qualification pathway for the World Cup to be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
