UAE launches nationwide programme to strengthen crisis response skills

## Strengthening Emergency Preparedness

The UAE has introduced the National Readiness Forum, a new initiative aimed at enhancing the country's emergency response capabilities. This program is part of the UAE National Programme for Medical Readiness and Response, known as Jahiziah, and is organized in collaboration with the National Training Institute, Tadreeb.

## Comprehensive Training for First Responders

The forum targets a wide range of participants, including government and private sector employees, healthcare professionals, civil defense, police, and volunteers. Participants will receive certification from the Jahiziah Academy and the European Centre for Disaster Medicine upon completion.

## Community Readiness Program

A significant component of the initiative is the Community Readiness program, which aims to train one million community responders. This training will be delivered through four levels and supported by a digital platform to ensure broad participation.

## Practical and Theoretical Training

The seven-hour training program includes both classroom learning and practical exercises. Participants will engage in risk assessment, incident management, advanced first aid, and other critical skills. The practical exercises simulate real-life emergencies to prepare participants effectively.

## Enhancing National Preparedness

This initiative is part of the UAE's broader efforts to improve readiness before emergencies occur. By equipping individuals with essential skills, the program aims to save lives and reduce the burden on emergency services during critical incidents.
